Traumatic brain injury

Traumatic brain injury or TBI is a form of non-degenerative brain injury resulting from a bump, blow, or jolt to the head or body. A penetrating head injury that disrupts normal brain function. A Concussion is an injury to the brain and typically occurs as a result of a blow, bump or jolt to the head, face, neck, or body that may involve a loss of consciousness.

Children with Traumatic brain injury disorders change over time and throughout clinical phases. In the acute phase, the patient mainly needs medical care, but then rehabilitation takes the first place.
